The Church continues Christ's healing ministry in the Sacrament of ANOINTING OF THE SICK. If you are suffering from a serious illness or are undergoing surgery, contact the church office to arrange a time for a priest to celebrate the sacrament with you.

St. James describes its celebration in apostolic times: "Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters [priests] of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint [him] with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up." James 5: 14-15
