Following our mission trip this year, many of our teens expressed a desire to contribute to the ministries of the mass. So this past summer, we have been training as Lectors, Ushers, Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, and Music Ministry. We shared our gifts of talent in liturgical ministries on Aug 19th and met with a lot of positive feedback. This is a wonderful opportunity for our teens to show they are not only the FUTURE of the church, but the PRESENT, as well. Please join us on Oct 14, Nov 11, and Dec 9 at the 11am masses to share in the Sunday liturgy with the young people of our parish.
If you are in high school, and would like to help out, contact Deb Williams at

for future training information and scheduling. Lectors and EMHC must be 16. Ushers can be 14. Servers and Gift Bearers do not have an age limit. if you would like to be a part of the Music Ministry- we will add to this as we become more familiar and confident with the music. Currently, we have 2 cantors, 3 guitars, 1 bass, and occassional percussion. |

Mission Trip 2012 to Nashville, TN was a great success. 38 Holy Cross teens and 9 adult chaperones traveled to Nashville, TN in June to work with Catholic Heart Workcamp to help those in need, while growing in our faith, and learning more about each other. We thank the parish of Holy Cross for their support in donations and in prayer. We have a growing group of teens who are excited to be a part of the parish, are proud of their Catholic faith, and willing to share their gifts with others.
Check out this video of a skit Holy Cross teens performed for 300 of their Catholic peers.
